We restore ourselves when we have the information and the support. Healing happens when we come home to ourselves. While health is often measured in health and blood pressure, TRUE wellness is based on how well we know ourselves. That we are IN relationship with self. That includes being in relationship with our body and our nervous system.
My work is deeply influenced by Ayurveda, the science of life, a 5,000 year old practice of holistic medicine from India. Ayurveda uses the term svastha, loosely translated as health or wellness. The roots of the word svastha actually mean "standing in self". Are you standing in self?
I am also a yoga teacher with a foundation of the 8 limbs of yoga. Yoga is WAY more than downward dog! My work is also influenced by Tantra, meaning to weave or expand.
Lastly my work has been influenced by my own healing journey and the people/practices/teachers that have helped me.
This is a restoration practice. I'm not "fixing" you, or me. I'm teaching you how to be in relationship with you and your nervous system again. The more complex the issue, the more simple the medicine to start.
You usually give more to others
than yourself. You are burned out
but maybe don't even know it yet.
You may have external success but
still are restless within. You can't
find a place of peace within.
You don't notice their body cues anymore. You are numb and check out with TV, games or doom scrolling on social media
